The summit night starts at midnight. It is six hours in the dark and the cold to Stella Point, and it is colder than the photographs show.
Altitude is the real test, not fitness. That is why this route climbs high and sleeps low, and why the days are slow.
Our summit success rate on this route is above 95%. We would still rather you knew that no guide can promise the top.
Travel insurance with mountain rescue cover is required, and tips for the crew ($80 to $120 in total) are not in the price.
